The need for innovative therapies: diving as a tool for resocialization Traditional models of psychological and physical rehabilitation are often not sufficient to respond to the complex needs of veterans returning from war zones, especially when it comes to traumas that go beyond the scope of standard therapeutic approaches. Soldiers from Ukraine who have gone through intense combat situations often suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, depression, as well as physical injuries that further complicate their return to civilian life. This is precisely why there is a growing need for innovative therapeutic approaches – those that combine physical activity, mental focus and emotional stability. One such approach is diving, which is increasingly being used as a form of therapy and rehabilitation.
